ESSENTIAL RESOURCE:
MAJOR SCALE PATTERNS & BACKING TRACKS IN ALL KEYS

Backing tracks are fun, and they are also a great learning tool because they can help you "check your work" in real time. I've shared the major scale patterns and the major pentatonic scale patterns (using the CAGED system) below.

For beginners, pick a pattern and try it out in a few keys with the backing tracks. Intermediate level players can practice all the patterns in all the keys while saying the note names aloud

If you need help bridging the gap, check out The Guitar Lesson Companion method book series and FREE 5 Year Online Guitar Course to get more out of your guitar lessons and your guitar!

12 POPULAR CHORD PROGRESSIONS
I picked 12 of the most popular chord progressions to make these jam tracks, and they may sound familiar to you! Some of the progressions may sound like these hit songs (not in order): "A Face To Call Home," "Brown Eyed Girl," "Heart and Soul," "With or Without You," "Melody," "Closing Time," "Stay, Stay, Stay," "Run Away Train," "The Warrior," "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here," "Run Around," "You Live, You Learn"
